Someone once told me that gig companies such as publicly traded rideshare companies revolutionized the transportation industry. Maybe in the very beginning, but that is just not the case when you look at the bigger picture and actually understand how everything is affecting you and many others. They proved one thing without a doubt. There were more demands than supply in transportation market. And they were able to find that supply to meet that demand. If there is one thing revolutionary about these publicly traded gig companies is that they revolutionized exploiting people or ripping people off while jacking up everyone’s insurance premiums. There should be a class or course that studies and examines these publicly traded gig companies and their employees from the top to bottom regarding human ethics, business ethics, human greed and etc.

Years after introducing surge pricing, almost every other companies now wants to implement surge pricing of their own. That surge pricing concept made sense in the beginning, but eventually these publicly traded companies found ways to manipulate that concept and pocket the majority of that money from gig workers while ripping off consumers. The consumers have no idea how they are being exploited and getting ripped off by these corporations. Unfortunately, in many cases, the consumers or gig workers are just as bad when it comes to exploiting and ripping people off.

If you ever dabbled into working on these gig platforms in America and have some kind of functioning brain, it is not difficult to see we are living in a very interesting times. I’m pretty sure even these gig companies would agree with me after going through their massive data they have collected and accumulated from their consumers. From laziness to stupidity, these companies could easily build character profiles on their consumers by just looking at their consumers’ history. If a guy like myself without bachelor’s or masters degree could collect data on my own and figure things out based on patterns and etc, these shouldn’t be a problem for these companies to figure out what I know.

I’ve been interacting and working with AI agents and algorithms for a minute now as a user and not developer. I’m pretty sure that there are so much money to be made as developers and investors in this era of AI madness. In my opinion, the real money for consumers and gig workers for AI is in knowing how to see through its flaws or errors. Also, your understanding of how some of those corporate people think and act will assist you tremendously since you understand how they move and what they do.

And if you grew up in a multi cultural environment, that will help you even more since you’ve seen and experienced in first hand of what other cultures are about. For example, if the CEO of a gig company in tech space is a Chinese descent, then you should understand and know better that there is not much of future in that gig company as a low level employee or independent contractor. You are most likely going to get screwed one way or another proven otherwise. You should always expect Chinese people to do Chinese shit while hiding behind the US laws and loopholes. That goes same with other cultures. I would be foolish to think that Chinese people are going to do white people shit and Indian people are going to do Japanese people shit. Regardless of cultures, those who sold their souls to money will do whatever it takes to feed their greed even if they had to kill their own parents for it.

Somebody once told me that we are living in the world of old England where there were a king and lords except now it is just a president and CEOs. I couldn’t really disagree after I thought about it. I hope that my following stories and tips could help you understand better and maybe even save you some time and money whether you are a consumer or user.

• Do You Know Who My Father Is?

I was on the way back to the main strip after dropping someone in Durango Station area. I received a trip request from a residential area not too far away. Normally, I wouldn’t take this kind of passenger because his rating was 4.5 or 4.6. Again, I should’ve known better. I said to myself that I was going to be a good guy this time and help somebody out by picking up that request. What a colossal mistake!

Once I arrived to a house, one female and one male hopped in the backseat. It looked like there was a house party going on. Then I was told by one of them that 3rd person was coming. I wasn’t paying attention, and this 3rd passenger who was the one requested this trip abruptly entered in my front passenger seat. This white guy had a long dreadlocks and he was really drunk. He had a liquor bottle in one hand and a half full drink in the other hand.

It was way too late at that point to kick them out of my car. Because it was 3 plus potential other people from the house against me. If I was strapped, I would’ve most likely kicked them out. I decided to just drive them to MGM Grand hoping for the best. On the way, this drunk pussy face was being extremely belligerent and loud. This dull-brained blockhead was distracting and disturbing my driving in the traffic. Then when I got on the highway, he got close up in my face and kept repeating the same question again and again with stanky breathes and loud annoying voice for 10 or more minutes.  

“DO YOU KNOW WHO MY FATHER IS?”

Who? Darth Vader? And he didn’t force choke this lisping clay-brained abomination to death in the air already? I was livid and heated to the maximum. If I was driving that James Bond’s Aston Martin, I would’ve pushed the button and ejected this pathetic excuse for a human. I really wanted to stop the car and punch him in the face to shut his mouth up. Better yet, I wanted to meet his father, so I can congratulate him on this fantastic procreation and parenting. With so many cars and trucks around me on the highway, that was not possible. This incident took me back in time on Marshall street with a trio of dunghills. Once I finally I dropped them off at MGM Grand, I told myself that I will never take any passenger with a rating less than 4.8 and nobody will be sitting in the front ever again.

You as a driver should never take this kind of passengers. If you are unlucky and somehow you get involved in a collision. Depending on the situation, that is not going to work out the way you think it should. It would be a court nightmare. That is too much risk and these companies don’t give two f**ks about you at the end of the day. If I was involved in a collision because of that drunk guy, there was a high probability that I woukd find his father and whooped his ass for having his son.
