Dedicated to my mother, father, grandmother & RJ
My father approached me from behind to look and read what I was typing on my laptop. I was sitting at a desk trying to write something just like my father decades ago. I was somehow able to write a paragraph after thinking for awhile. After a moment of silence, my father said,
“It sucks.”
What a way to encourage or motivate! I immediately stopped writing. I didn’t stop writing because I was discouraged by my own father. My father was right. It really sucked. I was wasting my time writing a story that wasn’t coming from my own voice and style. I was trying to write and express like somebody else instead of finding and developing my own. Therefore, I stopped writing completely and spent rest of my time in South Korea revisiting and exploring before returning to the USA.
Towards the end of my time in a Fortune 100 corporation, I used up all my vacation and sick days I have saved up right before I resigned. I had a new manager who transferred from another location from NY approached and suggested me that I should call a 1-800 mental health hot line provided by the company. This guy thought I was going through some kind of mental crisis not really knowing what really happened.
Maybe to a certain degree, that workplace drove me crazy due to so many issues with so many employees. However, I was not having a mental crisis. I just simply decided to visit my father in South Korea for a couple of weeks right before my resignation date. I didn’t necessarily went to South Korea for a vacation before I resigned from a company known to be one of the best to work for in the USA. I had to be there because I’ve been living with a heavy heart with pain, sorrow and anger while I was working and watching everything unfold during my time with this company.
When I first started to work at this Fortune 100 corporation, I truly believed that I was working for one of the best companies which treats their employees right with solid operations and etc. At that time, I made a decision that this company was worth my time for a long term career situation based on a few factors such as pay and the trajectory of growth, sustainability and consumer trends. During my 90 days probationary period after being hired as a limited part time employee, my grandmother passed away in South Korea. This happened not long after my close friend’s sudden funeral and I was heavily emotionally devastated.
In South Korea’s culture, it is a tradition to be present at your family funerals. Unfortunately, I didn’t go because I was only allowed 2 or 3 days for my grievance leave. 2 or 3 days were not enough since it takes a day to fly from North America to South Korea. Normally, I would’ve gone to the funeral if I was working at a dead end job. However, I really believed that this company was special and different from other places. So I stayed and finished my 90 days probationary period not knowing what was waiting to happen down the road in the end. And after everything and 5 years of working for this company, it only made sense that I finally visited my grandmother’s grave, paid my respect and asked her for forgiveness.
Upon my return to the USA, almost everyone from my mother to strangers couldn’t understand why I would resign from a company known to be one of the best workplaces in North America. And because the majority of employees in the company are lifers until their retirements, people constantly asked me why I would resign after 5 or 6 years of working and reaching the top pay scale. And because I’m tired of talking about the same thing repeatedly without having to fully explain what really happened, I finally decided to share my story to explain why I resigned and others couldn’t while also exploring and identifying problems or issues of capitalism, toxic corporate culture/politics and DEI.
What is the core problem at the heart of capitalism? It is reducing human beings to just nothing but numbers on a ledger. For that reason alone, human lives could be looked as cheap or nothing to some in this world. Also, it creates an environment or society of dog eat dog world where people will lie, cheat and steal from others to enrich or save themselves. Method Man of Wu-Tang Clan once said – “Behind every fortune there’s a crime.” Maybe capitalism is the reason why there are wars, drugs, guns, gangs, terrorists, crimes, corruptions and etc. Is communism the answer then? Probably not. One could ask that question to someone who lives or lived in Russia, China, North Korea and etc.
Over the years and throughout many generations, we have collectively created and nurtured a society in America where 22 years old young man can no longer live a simple life and have fun carefree anymore. Now they have to worry and care about money, job and politics like never before while more and more are becoming anti-social in real world and being brainwashed by media machines, social medias, influencers and alike. It is really sad to see that we are living in the USA where a young man couldn’t just have gay sex with his transgender boyfriend in peace while living with his parents. Now they have to get involved in politics and go around killing people for their unchallenged personal and political views or beliefs based on their lack of life and world experiences. Some Americans say that some people are spreading evil and hate with a speech or words in the USA meanwhile there are bombs being dropped in Ukraine and Gaza, as of 2025, on top of devastating living conditions with a shortage of resources and food.
It seems like the majority of Americans are like Venezuelan drug boat runners. They don’t watch the news and they don’t care about world events. If I was one of Venezuelan drug boat runners and watched the news of the US striking a boat on the ocean blowing it up to pieces, I don’t know about you but I’m definitely using my sick days or vacation. If 20 or more of your coworkers don’t return home, you know it’s time to quit. Even if the cartel forced me to go out on a boat with drugs, I wouldn’t be heading to the US. That’s for sure.
And since, according to some Americans, this country is a terrible place to live compared to other places, we have to scam or kill each other while protesting about anything and everything. With stagnant wages married with the rising cost of living, inflations, bankruptcies and mass layoffs, there will be scams and shady characters of all sorts more than ever out in this world. Whether you are on the street hustling or working for a big corporation or government agency, you will encounter all kinds of situations and people without moral values and integrity who also sold and lost their souls in the name of almighty dollar and social status.
And due to the human nature and greed, people will try to jack you on the street and online by every second and minute. If not on the street and online, people will backstab and step on others in order to just survive or climb up the corporate ladder for their social and financial status. Unless you identify and be aware of these shady individuals and also know how to protect yourself, you are going to be a victim of their schemes and end up wasting your valuable time, energy and money.
Especially in corporate settings, larger the organization, most often incompetent and lazy employees will do everything possible to keep their jobs or climb up the promotion ladder. They don’t resign or quit because even the dumbest and the laziest dirtbags know and understand that they need money to pay their bills and eat. And in so many occasions, they are also not the brightest when it comes to many aspects of operating a business. This is one of many reasons why big corporations without a solid business model with solid operations and unwavering customer loyalty eventually dissolve when they supposedly have all the right people in the right positions doing the right things.
Another problem with this society under capitalism is that we live in the world under the concept of capitalism except working in big corporations and organizations of all sizes. When you work in a big corporation, you will soon find out it is working under the concept of socialism or tyranny. If your merits, achievements and track records truly mattered, there is absolutely no way that another employee who is inferior than you could be promoted and make more money. How many times have you seen some whack jobs getting promoted for reasons who knows why in your life?
When the wrong individuals get promoted with a new job title and more money, they usually become even dumber than before blinded by the position of power and money within the corporation, and can’t think to see beyond eating and paying their bills. Many of them actually think that they are Superman made of bulletproof body and talk reckless to others as if they are never going to get clapped. Many of them don’t really care about others and they think that having a lot of money or being a manager or CEO will solve everything in this world that we live in. They tend to forget the mantra of Everybody has to eat. They only care about eating $1000 steaks or paying their mortgage payments and nobody else. Who cares about people getting laid off or the economy of nation? Who cares about some women being raped and killed? Who cares about people dying because of faulty airplanes? Who cares as long as you eat $1000 steaks and sleep in 30 bedroom mansion? Am I right?
America is not far away from the devastating reality of what happened in many other countries in Africa and South America with massive protests and riots where killings, robberies and lootings are a norm. And guess what? The main culprit of these movements in those countries are mainly started with Gen Z kids. If politicians and others forget about the regular ordinary people and only care about themselves and shareholders thinking that being rich or having a job title will make them a Superman to live forever, they shouldn’t cry on TV about getting shot and dying when somebody kills one of them just like that insurance company CEO. If you didn’t care and cry about others being laid off, being exploited or dying, why do you cry about CEOs or managers getting shot and killed? Why are they so special that the people have to care about these people who are also the problem of the society when they didn’t give a shit about others? Do they really look at themselves as human beings?
I once asked a young woman with brown skin complexion,
“What is the home values of Ukraine that are being bombarded and bulldozed?”
She couldn’t answer. She couldn’t answer a simple math question because she has no idea what it’s like to be getting hit by a explosive drone while sleeping at home. I personally don’t know what that is like also, but I do thank god and I am grateful for living in a country where I can watch and laugh at the NY Giants & the Jets get beaten like a redheaded step child in the 4th quarter. National security and world history are not that important as long as she could eat and pay her bills. Also, she believed that if things go sideways in this world, I’m going to be there to fight for her to eat and pay her bills. After my time in the service and watching everything from politics to my experiences in a Fortune 100 corporation, you best believe and I will guarantee you 1000% that I will never put my life on the line to fight for you in the event of global war or civil war involving this country. With that said, draft or not, you are the one who is going to fight for this country regardless of your money and job title because I’m not. I have spoken to countless veterans and their sentiments were pretty much aligned with mine. If you are thinking about your money or job, you shouldn’t worry too much about money and job title since you will have them all back once you return home from your heroic efforts.
In the event of an invasion of this nation like ‘Red Dawn,’ I know exactly what I’m going to do. How about you? Do you know what you are going to do? Are you going to cry and run to the police? Do you think they are going to save you? I hope that illegal aliens from all over the world in North America will protect you and fight for you. As I mentioned earlier, I will definitely not fight for you. But that also doesn’t mean that I will roll out the red carpet and jump to the other side unlike many poontangs who can’t even speak up freely in this country.
Hypothetically, after taking over North America after a hard fought invasion using all kinds of warfare, if I was a soldier for an invading country, and somebody came up to me offering money to save them and told me that he/she was a billionaire CEO of a tech company or a politician, I would tell that person without any hesitation,
“Shut your ass up and get back in line to the gas chamber.”
If the money actually had any kind of monetary value at that point, people could just jack them for all they have. So why would anybody care about saving them just because they had money? Via Hustlenometry – Wholesale Rape, I share a story of my time in a multinational Fortune 100 corporation after starting from the bottom as a homeless person sleeping in my car briefly. This invaluable story could assist anyone from all generations and genders who is looking to work in big corporate settings in general. In this story based on first hand account and reliable sources, you will find out how employees were able to fool the management to pull heists to steal from the company. Also, you will find out about the love hexagon that killed the department productivity and the grand plan of a lazy gold digger a.k.a. waste of payroll for her job security. And for bonus, you will be able to understand why you shouldn’t kill someone over a speech or some words after reading this story.
This story is for anyone who wants to learn how to avoid pitfalls and understand how corporate politics and business actually work. Moreover, this is a story that parents with daughters, wives with their husbands in the management and all women must read. Why? Because it could happen to anybody.
In the words of Eddie Murphy,
“Ha! I got the knife! Now turn on the goddamn lights!”
