While Poppa G was spending his time with P after the US Navy stunt, G would also meet up with other guys from the high school. One of them was Ho Bag who was a part of the original high school crew. All of them hung out very often in high school days, but that obviously changed after since everyone was going in different directions in adult life with different goals and aspirations.
Ho Bag was a guy with Ukrainian heritage who was physically active and fit by consistently working out and playing sports throughout his life. Aside from a few other hangout spots, Ho Bag’s house was the usual hangout place for the crew throughout high school days. They played Playstation and listened to tunes after tunes from his “special speaker” sets. They would often joke around and laugh while drinking Tequila watching the sun rise at many parties.
Ho Bag was a type of guy you wouldn’t want to fight 1 on 1 with fists unless you were a mixed martial arts fighter or professional fighter. Ho Bag was no juice (steroid) monkey, but he was strong enough to f**k shit up for regular people. He was the type of guy you should just put a bullet in him and call it a day if you had to fight him. And Ho Bag was the only guy out of G’s crew who just might had enough strength and cardio to pass and try out for Navy Seals or Special Forces training. There was a time when Ho Bag and G had a minor wrestling/scuffle thing going on at Ho Bags’ house, and Ho Bag put a tight chokehold on G and there was no way G was going to get out of that. The grip was so strong that only way for G to get out of that situation was to eye gouging Ho Bag.
Ho Bag easily could’ve been a school bully by being physically violent and pushing small high school kids around. However, he was never like that for some reasons. He was just not the type of guy who would take some kids’ lunch money or pull a prank on somebody just for fun. Unfortunately, being immature high school kids, Ho Bag, G, RJ and others were mainly influenced by Tyrion’s diabolical mind and nature of punking or pranking other kids just for fun.
If it wasn’t for Tyrion, RJ and P Dub would’ve never stole a bike from a guy named PO. PO was a close friend to Heavy T & P-1000. G never had any issue with PO, but because of Tyrion, G had to roll with the crew and acted like he also disliked PO all because Tyrion hated at the fact that PO had a girlfriend that Tyrion was interested in. PO, Heavy T & P-1000 didn’t even know about this at all. PO wanted to hang out with the crew, but that was never really going to happen because of Tyrion.
PO tried really hard to fit in or hang out with the crew. And for that reason, he unwillingly even bought a bag of Marijuana from Tyrion at one point. What PO didn’t know was that Tyrion sold him a bag mixed with dirt, oregano and shit. Not knowing better, PO smoked it and all the kids in our crew thought it was hilarious when that could’ve done a serious damage to PO. This is the reason why it is very critical and vital who you surround yourself with and you shouldn’t try to fit in with people who are not compatible.
At the time when Poppa G was hanging out with Ho Bag after the US Navy, Ho Bag was also surrounded by people with deep oxycodon addictions because he was living in an apartment with roommates. It made sense for him at that point since he knew these guys from high school and also it helped him save money in order to attend his school to obtain his trade skills degree when his parents split up and sold the house.
Ho Bag could’ve easily been a victim of oxy addiction and ruined his life due to his environment and many characters around him. However, Ho Bag had a very clear focus with unyielding discipline. Out of all people from high school who were very close to these oxy addicts, Ho Bag and I were probably the only ones that didn’t get sucked into that oxy or any other drug epidemic. Although Ho Bag was constantly surrounded by drug addicts with drugs all around him, he didn’t pay no attention to it. He just went to school everyday to learn his future job while taking buses to YMCA to work out. And that is the exact type of sacrifice and hustle one must go through before a come up. Unlike Tyrion and some others, Ho Bag took buses to his school, YMCA and many other places while Tyrion would cry and bitch about Poppa G not driving him to places for his bootie calls and etc. Eventually, Ho Bag moved out on his own from drug addict roommates once he was able to afford an apartment by himself with his new job.
They both didn’t know exactly what kind of impact that oxy would have on people they knew from the high school and society overall in the beginning. G didn’t even know oxycodon was a synthetic heroin for a long time until he started to read or hear about it on the news. Once G found out what oxy really was, he thought about all the assholes including Ho Bags’ roommates who offered him to do oxy with them at gatherings and parties. As time went by, they both saw things were getting really out of control with oxy addiction with everyone from the high school who did oxy on the regular. It was extremely difficult for these kids to stay off of it because of severe withdrawals. Almost all of them pretty much either passed away or ruin their lives with no point of return because of oxy.
When G had to isolate himself later from his high school crew due to street politics and Tyrion, G basically took the same approach as Ho Bag to focus on his life and places he wanted to go. And that was the only reason why G was able to stay on his path and slowly progress towards his personal and financial goals. Ho Bag and G might not talk and hang out like back in the day, but one thing is for sure: You can’t smoke if you die. However, Poppa G would tell others these days to stop smoking immediately including drinking if possible if you want to live on and live long.
